RESULTS of the Reid State Park Field Trip

Although temperatures reached 50+ degrees in L/A, the wind on the coast was quite strong and unrelenting, making for less-than-ideal conditions for birding from exposed ledges at the water's edge. The wind was also probably responsible for the low number of land birds that were tallied. However, we did come up with the first Red-winged Blackbird of the season
