The Stanton Bird Club walk this morning (Saturday, 5/31) at Beaver Park
in Lisbon was most fortunate with the rain ... it stopped! The rain
ended before our walk and did not start again until we left. Verla
Brooks, the park ranger, accompanied us and explained the history and
activities at the park. For those who have yet to visit this park, you
are missing a great deal. It is mostly wooded but with three ponds, a
few fields, and wonderfully kept trails, plus a dirt road which loops
for over a mile.
