With comfortable weather, although often poor light, eleven people
turned out for the Stanton field trip to the Parckard-Littlefield Farm in Lisbon.
The Androscoggin Land trust holds an easement on the fields and woods of
this wonderful working farm. We were welcomed by the Packards with a
brief history of the property.

In addition to many wild flowers, the following species were observed:

Wild Turkey - 6
Herring Gull
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 1 twice or maybe 2
Eastern Kingbird
Blue Jay
American Crow
Northern Mockingbird - 1, apparently a resident
European Starling
Indigo Bunting - 1 very well, possibly 2
Song Sparrow - many
unidentified sparrow - a number of sparrow like birds were seen
flitting about an apple tree and in corn fields but identification was
not confirmed.
Bobolink - 14, 4 very well, possibly as many as 50 as they were
constantly flying about, all in fall livery
American Goldfinch

Raptors had been reported during haying the past few days but were not
seen Saturday.
