This morning the every-other-week-Wednesday walk did Whitman Spring Road
Trail in North Auburn. The weather could not have been better, not hot
and not cold, not windy either. We had 8 people attend but the birds
were thinner than we would have liked. Still we saw some birds and had
a great time.

Warblers have been moving but we only had two species, had expected
more. We did have two very cute young birds which stayed together on a
high branch and we could not id them. Then a parent came and was gone
before we could look at it ... twice. We also had a bird with a
distinctive call in the evergreens near the old Lake Auburn House, but
couldn't identify the call and it was usually hidden although we saw it
move a few times. Never did identify either of these!! Here are the 23
we could identify!!
