SPECIES:
(those seen at and around Clary Hill itself marked with an *)
| *Great Blue Heron Mallard *Turkey
Vulture *Osprey *Northern Harrier (fantastic views) *Cooper's Hawk (dramatic
encounter with a Kestrel--just after the Bates party left--sorry guys!) *American
Kestrel (probably at least half a dozen) Wild Turkey Ring-billed Gull Rock
Dove *Mourning Dove Downy Woodpecker *Blue Jay *American Crow *Common
Raven *American Robin European Starling *Savannah Sparrow (very good
views) House Finch **there was a small flock of smaller-than-robin-sized
birds that flew over a couple of times while we were there; Stan DeOrsey is pretty
sure that they were American Pipits; I have to say that I'm not convinced, since
I never saw any white outer tail feathers as they flew; another possibility is
Cedar Waxwing. TOTALS: 19+ species, 15 observers.
