This morning, with bright sun but a stiff breeze, we went to Beaver Park
in Lisbon. Nine people attended but only 14 birds were seen, with only
10 at the park. Verla had the fire on in the work shed (she is making
great wreaths) so a good time was had by all at this great town park.
The bird of the day was 5 Snow Buntings at Staples!!! They flew around
the few grassy areas at the edge of the parking lot.

Birds seen were:
Canada Goose - 30 flying over in formation
Great Blue Heron - 1 by Carol Jack at the Lisbon boat launch, although
Verla still has one at one of the park ponds
unidentified hawk flew over
Ring-billed Gulls
Herring Gull (Staples)
Rock Pigeon (Staples)
Mourning Dove
American Crow
Common Raven
Black-capped Chickadees - many
Red-breasted Nuthatch - about 10
White-breasted Nuthatch
Dark-eyed Junco
Snow Bunting - 5 (Staples)
