RESULTS of the Stanton Bird Club Field trip to Winslow Park in Freeport on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Today was the first day of spring, and it couldn't have been nicer. Although we woke to frost on our windshields, temperatures eventually reached into the 60s.
Unfortunately it was low tide, which put any ducks well out of reach of our binoculars. But the park was filled with singing Song Sparrows and a very vocal Cardinal. And a fly-by by an adult Eagle was a nice touch.
