RESULTS of the Bates Bird Walk IV, Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 6-8 am. Mostly sunny, calm winds, 48-54 deg. F. A nice morning, but disappointingly quiet in terms of birds. The undoubted "bird of the day" was the Yellow-throated Vireo which sang in full view from a half-leaved-out ash tree in Riverside Cemetery.
