International Migratory Bird Day - May 14, 2011

 

To celebrate International Migratory Bird Day, the Stanton Bird Club “migrated” from Lewiston to Augusta while counting birds at five locations. Seven people participated, tallying 59 species. Additional fun activities took place at Viles Arboretum.

 

The five locations were:

1 - Promenade Mall, Lewiston (meeting location)

2 - Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary, Lewiston (East Ave. entrance)

3 - Monmouth Fish & Game area, US202, Monmouth

4 - Bond Brook Recreation Area, Augusta (upper area adjacent to parking area)

5 - Viles Arboretum, Augusta
